When people speak of balancing the body, mind, and soul, what does that actually mean?
What does that entail? How does all that work?
There are many explanations of meditation, yoga, mindfulness and breathing techniques that are suggested to help bring focus and balance in your life. Yes, some of them work depending on what resonates with you.
But let’s be honest, most of the times, there are areas of our lives that are going great and then there are some that are lacking and we don’t know why. You may have a great job but your love life is terrible. Or you may have a great love life but you are broke or unfulfilled.
As we go along in our day to day, this balancing game seems never-ending. When will we reach this hypothetical notion that we are fully balanced? How do you begin to balance something that is already upside down with craziness, drama, and uncertainty?
It requires a bigger picture – not just a mindful way of thinking but a “wholeness” way of being.
Balancing is the process that allows for harmony in our lives.
In essence, we are a 3 part being – body, mind and soul. Each part has a profound impact on our life. One part cannot exist without the other. Each plays a vital role in our existence.
Individually, each part may require some focus and attention, some more than others, and that’s ok. As a whole, a balance between the three parts can create an incredible synergy that is undeniable in your life.
Of course, we are not perfect much less perfectly balanced. But perfection is not what we are trying to achieve through balancing – awareness is.
Why do we need to balance anyway?
These three parts are strategically intertwined within our cells, DNA, and energetic makeup as they run deep within us.
When they are humming along together so is your life. This is how you get ALL aspects of your life, blossoming at the same time.
Each of the body, mind, and soul has its own challenges. We know and feel these challenges every day. As each has a significant purpose, they also have a healing process of their own to contribute to the collective.
How this works is each has to be addressed separately so they can come together as one.
They have to go through a process of awakening, healing, and enlightenment to achieve its highest promise.
It sounds like a lot of work, deep work. And that’s all right because this defines the process and experience of our life journey. In other words, this balance is the foundation of why we are here.
The ultimate goal is to bring the strengths and beauty of each one into harmony, generating a higher vibration to achieve your best life and create your beautiful reality. Ok, that’s deep again but who doesn’t want that?
Let’s break down these three parts and their challenges…
The Body
The body encompasses the physical aspect of ourselves. It is the home of the EGO.
The ego is our identity, personality and the result of societal conditioning. It is our survival persona that is keeping our bodies alive. It makes sure we receive everything we need, leading and sometimes bulldozing the way ahead.
The ego has a fascination with being in charge. It knows no other way to be.
Upon conception, the EGO has been part of the cell development and growth of our human bodies. Therefore, you can understand its extreme attachment to making sure we are taken care of. Unfortunately, it can’t seem to let things go.
It is also the overseer of our emotions. The ego is always looking out for our survival. It will always take the safe route, which means the path of less risk. It throws in some fear to keep us on the sidelines of life. Does this sound familiar?
The ego also fuels anger and resentment to keep us complacent and in line with our surrounding societal pressures. This is to make sure we don’t “stray” too far from the ego’s intended path. Oh that ego (shaking fist in the air), it does its job really well.
The body also houses the conscious and subconscious negative scripts. We are constantly running these negative thoughts and words through our brain creating a chaos of mental chatter. You know that constant looping that drives us crazy.
We also have these subconscious blockages that run so deep that have been imprinted over time within our energetic system. They have been buried and forgotten yet still fuel a lot of our doubt. These doubts conveniently resurface when we are trying to move forward.
The body requires emotional releasing, and reprogramming. In addition, you must become friends with your ego and reset a positive direction toward your life purpose. This healing requires some work but vital in the balancing process.
The Mind
Your mind is actually not an organ, it’s not your brain. Your brain is responsible for taking care of your body and is connected solely to your physicality. In the past, scientists thought the mind was part of the brain, but now we know the mind extends beyond our physical being.
Your mind is the energetic force that is connected to a higher consciousness outside of our physicality and 3D world.
It is the connection to the collective consciousness, our angelic team, and Source.
The higher consciousness is our intuition, inspiration, and insights. It is our out of the blue genius ideas, profound moments of clarity and enlightened aha moments.
It is this higher connection that reminds us we are all ONE and part of the All That Is. This connection also needs to be nourished and strengthened because it is connected to the etheric.
By strengthening the connection, you can easily tap into universal information and expand your consciousness just like we were connected to a supercomputer. I’ll take one of those downloads, please!
Cleansing, balancing, and realigning your chakras is one way of strengthening that connection. Chakras are energy wheels that are located down the center of your body. We have seven main ones that serve as powerful sources within you that connect to the physical and emotional aspects of you energetically.
Chakras can become unbalanced, misaligned, or weighed down by negative vibrations throughout our daily activities. These block the energetic flow within you making you feel disconnected, lost and without purpose. No one likes that aimless feeling.
Meditation and Energy Healing are other ways to balance the mind. Either way, it is essential to bring your energy centers in alignment to embrace your divine connection.
The Soul
The soul is the life spark within us and the core of our being. It is our spiritual essence within our body, our human avatar. Our soul is our purpose and the actualization of who we are and why we are here.
The soul wanted to experience certain feelings, situations, and create here on Earth. It knows why you are here and the goals you would like to accomplish in this lifetime.
The soul chose a mission and a purpose.
You sense your soul through that nurturing inner voice that gut feeling, that internal guidance that eggs us on.
Unfortunately, it can be difficult to hear the soul trying to come through to us. Our life gets so busy and we have our own agenda (spearheaded by the ego) that we don’t hear what the soul has to say.
It gets drowned out by the chatter, the 3D heaviness of our world, and all the distractions we create for ourselves.
Throughout time, our soul spark begins to dim. We can no longer see our path and mission. We get lost in the shuffle and our purpose becomes unclear.
In order to balance this dilemma, protecting and grounding ourselves is imperative. By grounding, we are anchoring into Mother Earth and Source that gives us stability for our soul. It fuels and rejuvenates the spark within us to shine brightly again. Grounding brings us back to awareness and to our mission.
By harnessing this awareness it creates strength and confidence within us. Our superpowers are returned and we can move forward with purpose.
Balance is the Key
It is our responsibility to strive toward a place of wholeness of the body, mind, and soul. It requires taking responsibility and accountability of our thoughts and actions. Let’s be honest, that is difficult in itself but very doable.
As a 3 – part being, we need to invest in the spiritual development and awareness of who we truly are. The alignment and healing of each part of our being create a powerful synergy.
This synergy, this balance, allows us to enjoy all aspects of our life simultaneously.
And that my friends, brings us back to the oneness of all that is and a life of true joy and fulfillment.
