Most of us have asked these age-old questions at one stage in our lives, “Why are we here on Earth? Do we have a life purpose?” There have been a large number of proposed answers to these questions. Many philosophers, theorists, religious leaders, and deep thinkers from different cultural and ideological backgrounds have weighed in their perspectives. Even the Bible seems to state that God has a plan for us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (New International Version, Ephesians 2:10). Aristotle, the famous Greek philosopher, tried to define the purpose of life by concluding,
“Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence.”
Is the goal really just happiness for all mankind or do we have a purpose? A purpose that is uniquely suited for each of us where we could improve ourselves, the lives of others, and the universe at large? From a metaphysical point of view, we are multidimensional beings or souls, not just bodies with a collection of atoms, proteins, and molecules. There is more to us than the sum of our biochemical functions.
We come to Earth to experience life in a physical body so we can learn lessons of love, empathy, and kindness. The question bears if we are souls, are we equipped with a “blueprint” or soul plan to help us reach our specific goals on Earth? If we are equipped with a support tool, a sort of GPS
Wouldn’t it be nice if we knew how to access this compass or guidance system?
The secret is, we actually all have one – that small tiny little voice, that gut feeling we have or let’s just call it our instinct.
This voice can guide us correctly; we just need to learn how to access it. Yet, if this inner guidance is easily accessible then why do so many of us feel a lingering, unfulfilled emptiness deeply in us? Even though we may have successful careers or relationships. Why do some of us feel wee off-track or feel incomplete, despite a conventionally successful life?
Sometimes we may wonder if we have been on the “wrong” path all along — chosen the wrong career, or the wrong life partner. We may feel subconscious that we have this inner guidance. But we were never taught how to tune into our soul’s life plan; otherwise many of us on Earth would definitely be living up to our life purposes.
But it’s never too late. Finding your life purpose has true value. It gives you invaluable insight and a blueprint to live your life with purpose and passion. Click here to find out more!
